On Monday, August 16th, Democracy Prep Baton Rouge was informed of a positive COVID test from a member of our community. This was the second positive test in a week from the same classroom making it a Level 2 incident. In accordance with our protocols, we have shut down the classroom in which the positive cases have occurred for a period of ten days.

We have learned that an individual(s) at Democracy Prep Baton Rouge has tested positive for COVID-19. Following our protocol and with guidance from local health authorities, we have notified all members of our school community who have been in close contact with the individual(s). A deep cleaning will be performed to ensure the safety of our scholars.
