Democracy Prep’s Co Curricular Programs gives scholars the opportunity to learn outside the classroom and to choose activities that interest them or are new to them. Extracurricular opportunities include competitive sports and electives.

  • Scholars learn time management: Using their time wisely will help scholars increase their productivity in the classroom, a skill that will be necessary in college and beyond.
  • Scholars become well-rounded: Extracurricular programming allows scholars to diversify their interests, helping them to step outside their comfort zone.
  • Scholars learn about long-term commitments: Committing to an extracurricular sport teaches valuable lessons in seeing something through to the end, win or lose.
  • Scholars learn how to build strong relationships: They will be involved in social activities and will learn the appropriate way to act in social situations.
  • Extracurricular activity enhances college applications: Colleges want well-rounded applicants.
